Energy Track™

Reporting That's Right on Track

Without robust reporting, it is difficult to measure the effectiveness of an energy control system. Accordingly, only 22% of today’s LEED®-certified buildings understand how effective their energy management is because they lack adequate reporting. They have no way of knowing whether a building is performing to the level it was designed. But thanks to the Energy Track™ reporting tool, all buildings with Convia controls have a robust energy reporting capability.

The Energy Track™ dashboard displays the floor plan of a given space and highlights areas that are consuming more energy than predicted. The application’s data view enables users to track past usage in simple-to-read graphs and tables. Based on the information gleaned from the Energy Track™, facility managers can determine the efficiency in a space, and can make decisions about daylight harvesting, occupancy sensors, and HVAC. Energy strategies can be made with confidence, for immediate and ongoing improvement.

The US Department of Energy estimates that buildings which track performance and make energy saving modifications on an ongoing basis can save up to 20% on their annual energy costs. When it comes to realizing a building’s full potential, a robust reporting platform like Energy Track™ is as financially significant as any investment in energy controls in the first place. By continually optimizing the system based on reports from the Energy Track™, a Convia enabled building can maintain long-term savings.

Your Reports, Just the Way You Want

Energy Track™ lets you select regions in your building you want to track. You may include any combination of rooms, zones, whole floors, or the entire building in your analysis.

Then compare your buildings performance to a wide range of benchmarks like ASHRAE 90.1, Title 24 or data from energy simulation models.

Data is available in easy-to-read and understand tables or charts and can be called up to view current “real-time” status, a historical snapshot in time, or trending periods from minutes to years.

Users can select from a variety of measurement perspectives including energy end-use types, fuel sources, and specific environmental views.

Based on the type of measurement, you may then select from a variety of unit types, from Kilowatt Hours (KwH) to Carbon Emissions.

More Than Just The Facts

Vigorous reporting can also act as an early warning system with regards to system or equipment failure and lets facility managers make consistent and reliable decisions regarding building operations and control schedules. When data shows a drop in performance, this can be an indication of a breakdown that warrants further investigation

System Wide Control

With Convia, customers enjoy the benefit of two interconnected applications: the Energy Track™ reporting tool, which gives information about how a building is performing; and the Global Gateway, which lets managers make adjustments to the system based on Energy Track™ reports, with little or no disruption to a space.
