Once installed, the Convia Global Gateway allows users to create a customized view of the building and to input settings and preferences. Once set, the Gateway will perform the pre-programmed assignments for lighting and plug load control, HVAC set point changes, load balancing and occupancy daylight sensor management, and more.

Using the Gateway is simple and doesn’t require any special programming skills. Drop down menus and an easy-to-read graphical interface make managing a building simple.

The Global Gateway enables both local and remote access to the Convia network; it facilitates timing functionality for the network and interfaced devices; and it allows the Convia system to interact with other devices using the Convia Protocol Bridge.

Control in the Palm of Your Hand

In addition to the Global Gateway, Convia offers control that users can manage with the simple touch of a button. The Convia Wand is used to configure control of lights and other devices by forming associations between sensors on lights, switches and other components. Simply point to a device and press the button to link it to other devices. An entire room can be virtually rewired in an instant, without the need to re-wire, saving companies time and labor.

Ongoing Optimization

Convia’s Energy Track reporting tool gives insight into how a building is performing over time. The Data View lets facility managers track past usage in simple-to-read graphs and tables. Continual observation of a space, along with the ease of change possible with Convia, accommodates ongoing optimization, allowing buildings to operate to their full potential.

Convia’s technology is embedded into “Convia Enabled” power delivery and wire management systems, available exclusively from Wiremold. These components include modular power and lighting distribution systems, floor boxes, poke-thru devices, and architectural columns, all of which provide flexible, accessible power distribution to owners and facility managers.
